The initial idea for the production of The Third Coming was the stage. As the size and scope expanded it became quickly apparent that the staging would require the reality of film.

The Third Coming is quite simply a "What If" -- Jesus, John the Baptist, Dianna, Elijah, and Apollo, return tomorrow. How would it go down? How did they get here and why the return?

The songs contained in this cd were written for "The Third Coming" between 1977 and 1979. They were recorded and produced by Larry Blakely at Framingham on the Lake Studios, 1980. A 1966 Guild F-50 Maple was used. Please bear in mind that these songs would be sung by various cast members. Rodeo Clown is the exception to this rule. Due to a confluence of influences way beyond my pay grade, this song was born and recorded at the same time on a $15-dollar cassette recorder, on the occasion of playing childhood piano for the last time.

Regardless of the content, we consider this a Spiritual work not a Religious one. It is quite simply a "What If".
